Support Work-In-Progress at MASS MoCA

panel-361

We are delighted to be working with Dj/ Projectionist Kid Koala this December for a residency to develop a family-oriented live show based on his graphic novel/soundtrack project Space Cadet.  We have started a Kickstarter campaign to help us raise a little dough to fund residency and production costs, including artist housing and accommodations, equipment, and technical services. Everyone who donates to the cause will receive some sort of gift in return! For more details check out the campaign site.

Cheers,
Brittany

Are we your favorite Great Place in Massachusetts?

1000

The 1,000 Great Places Commission was created in 2009 to identify and recognize the 1000 most truly special places in the Commonwealth, in order to celebrate pride in our history and culture, increase knowledge of our natural surroundings, and encourage regional and international tourism.

If you’re a resident of the Commonwealth, you can visit the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) website to nominate us (or any other public place in Mass that you admire, we’re not telling you who to vote though we always appreciate the support!)

Only one nomination per person will be accepted.  The nomination period will close April 1, 2010. The Commission will meet later that month to draw up a final list of 1,000 Great Places in Massachusetts, which will be announced in May.

Thanks!

Mais oui

004_trip_advisor

We’re feeling very cosmopolitan today since our first review in French was just posted on Trip Advisor. Dredging up Mme Cunningham’s AP French from way back, we’re pretty sure its glowing.   Check it out and while you’re there add your own thoughts about MASS MoCA to Trip Advisor in whatever language you choose.  Since we’ve only got 6 reviews you’ll stand out in the crowd.  Thanks!

Clocktower Awards presented at 10th Anniversary Ball

10th-anniversary

Recipients of the Clocktower Society awards are chosen for their contribution to the nation’s cultural life through their extraordinary comitment to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.  At MASS MoCA’s 10th Anniversary Ball on May 23, 2009, MASS MoCA inducted three new members into its Clocktower Society:  Michael Dukakis (former governor of Massachusetts), Allan Fulkerson (former Chairman of the Board, MASS MoCA), and Susy Wadsworth (MASS MoCA trustee).  Read the rest of this entry »
