Our friends at Hoosic River Watershed Association have put out a call for proposals from visual artists for Riverworks, an outdoor art exhibition that’s held in conjunction with their annual Riverfest celebration. This year Riverfest takes place at Cole Field in Williamstown on May 29 from 11 – 4 (which gives you just enough time to freshen up before you head to MASS MoCA for the opening of our new Petah Coyne exhibition from 5-7 followed by Carolina Chocolate Drops in concert at 8.)
Proposed work should be suitable for outdoor installation at a site along the river. The show takes place rain or shine and the site can be windy so work should be able to withstand the elements. The event is also very family friendly so it needs to be appropriate for all ages.
There’s no honorarium, but you are welcome to sell your work free of commission (though a donation to HooRWA would certainly be welcomed if you do sell.)
For more info you should get in touch with Rick Dovey, the Riverworks Coordinator. You can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802 823 5545.
