What do The Waypoint and PB & J have in common? In North Adams next weekend they are both about reincarnation. Say what?
In conjunction with Saturday’s production of The Waypoint — a play which takes reincarnation as its theme and which began its life as part of the Bazaar Production’s EarlyStages program at the Berkshire Fringe — our neighbor The Porches is offering a special “Get-a-Waypoint” package which includes overnight acomodations, dinner with a special “reincarnation” menu created by Red Lion Inn chef Brian Alberg, two tickets to the performance, and breakfast on Sunday morning. Â Â
Call Porches at 413 664 0400 to reserve. Cost is $250 per couple and space is definitely limited. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit, that heated pool and hot tub beacon!
Dinner starts at 6 and it features five courses reincarnating old favorites in an entirely new way:
B.L.T. A soup made with house cured bacon, wilted organic arugula & smoked tomatoes
Mac & Cheese Quinoa spaghetti with Cricket Creek Farm cheese, extra virgin olive oil & cracked pink peppercorns
Caesar Salad Flaxseed Crouton with julienne romaine heart, white anchovy, dijon mustard & poached bantam egg
Beef Stew Local grass fed hangar steak with carrots, parsnips, kale & cabernet reduction
PB & J Peanut butter ice cream and shortbread cookie sandwich with concord grape whipped cream
