Flickr Finds: Holzer

Our MASS MoCA Flickr group has 116 members and 1, 147 photos in it. To showcase the fabulous pics that our visitors have been posting I thought I would occasionally pick a topic and share with you a few of my favorite Flickr photos. Since Projections will be closing on November 16, I will begin with Holzer based Flickr Finds.

Please note all photos shown in Flickr Finds blogs retain the copyright of the original photographer. To learn more about the photographer and the licensing of their images, click on the photographer’s name to visit their Flickr profile.

It’s an honor to have one of my photos included here in this blog! My son and I love MassMoCA, and visit at least two or three times a year. It’s become an annual tradition to anticipate what is going to be in the superlarge exhibit space each year!

It’s also been interested to see Projections evolve over time. When it was pretty new back in February, the film was very black, and the effect was extremely stark. But later in the summer, the film had worn down significantly letting much more light overall into the space, reducing the starkness of the letters in the space. Interesting evolution, and I bet the artist didn’t know that that was going to happen over time.

I love seeing all of these other photos of projections here. Everyone has such a unique perspective of it. (Which is the sign of a successful exhibit.) I recommend if anyone is reading this who hasn’t seen Projections, you should go see it before it leaves in November! It’s a very cool thing when you participate in it and see it in motion!!!

And to the writer of this blog: Thank you for providing links to all of the photos featured here. Good stuff.
