Be our guest

We’re open on Monday, October 8 (Columbus Day) and offering tours at noon and 3 PM.  Our intern Emily Colman just got trained, her first public tour is Monday at 3 PM.  We’re delighted to welcome another new guide the wonderful Karen Matthews.  Stop by for her first tour on Saturday at noon.

Also on Monday, if you like big trucks, come see Anselm Kiefer’s Etroits sont les Vaisseaux get craned into the gallery. This 82′ long (divided into sections) concrete wave will be installed on the second floor as part of Anselm Kiefer: Sculpture and Paintings from the Hall Collection opening October 19.  Join us for the opening (free if you’re a member — if you’re not already a member, join today and we’ll send you an invite!)

The more I see of MoCA the more fascinating it becomes. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a tour guide there and have been enjoying every minute I have spent in the museum. It gets more interesting with every visit.
The other thing MoCA has done for me is to solve the annual “what to get people for Xmas” issue. What could be a better present than a membership in MoCA! They not only get to go to the museum as often as they want to, they get to go to the openings with you and if they want to buy you a present in the gift shop they get a discount!
I did want to thank all of the wonderful people on the staff at MoCA. Everyone has been so helpful to me. I especially want to thank Alison for all the time she has spent getting information for me, emailing me articles and helping me develop the tours. I am looking forward to doing more!

    Viva La MoCA !
    Karen Matthews
